No detail was missed out in the creation of the precisely engineered aerodynamic design of the Utopia Road Cycling Helmet (WG11). Using wind tunnel testing and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation, Kask have been able to develop a helmet with unrivalled aerodynamics while retaining incredible ventilation and safety. Compared to the competition the Utopia resulted in a saving of up to 6 watts when riding at 50kph. It may not sound significant but every little bit of saved energy is vital when going for the win.
While aerodynamics were the primary concern, Kask didn't overlook ventilation. Using the data from their testing the design and engineering team have been able to optimise airflow so that you can use the Utopia all year round, even in warmer conditions. The design also means reduced draught noises as you ride.
WG11 Safety Test
The Utopia passes the stringent WG11 test. This focuses on protection from rotational impact forces, measuring rotational kinematics from both oblique and normal impacts. With this safety test passed, you can be sure the Utopia has you covered should you be unfortunate enough to fall from your bike.
The Kask Octo-Fit offers both excellent security and a precise fit. A rubberised Micro Dial adjuster provides an improved finger grip for adjustment. Floating cradle contact and supports are designed to oscillate freely through 180° allowing a perfect fit on any shaped head. The Skeletal Brackets of the cradle have been designed and refined to provide the best fit and support whilst being as light as possible.
Fast-wicking and quick-drying Resistex® padding draws moisture away from your head to keep you drier as your more intense efforts create heat and sweat. This works with the engineered airflow to boost all-ride comfort and the pads are washable to ensure freshness.
